Let me tell you what it means to be human. I don’t mean an identity defined by a culture, or by a system. I’m talking about real, raw, humanity. Not where we trade our time for some set value amount to get by- no. I mean mud-between-the-toes authenticity. I mean goose-bumps in the rain naked, hair in knots & red cheeks. I’m not talking about manners, & polite behavior where everyone is cross-legged & compliant. When people say excuse me, & apologize for standing in place. When people look away after approximately two seconds of locking eyes. Fuck, i want real interactions. Give me people with their emotions still intact. Where we can actually speak about our feelings instead of hiding our faces behind a screen & walking around like zombies. Who are you? I don't care how new your pants are, how big your tits are, or how many people acknowledge you on social media. We’re mammals, warm blood pumping through our limbs. Get up & show me what’s real. I want to see you on hind legs. Focused, peirced gaze to taste my scent. I don’t care to see how obedient you can be, or how much information you can regurgitate. I want to feel you. Beyond constructs, & those pretty little automatic responses that make me numb. What you can buy, what you can consume, what you can conjure is just detail. I want real. Not snap judgements, not belittlement, not generalizations. I want to feel your worth, not know your desired rate. Diving the depths, instead of treading the shallow seas. Singing songs of freedom, elaborating existence for the graceful peace that it is. I want to meet a human. Are you human?
